About Janet Barrows
MSOM, L. Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist, and Qigong Practitioner
I am a California State Licensed Acupuncturist (L. Ac.) practicing acupuncture and integrative medicine in Santa Rosa and throughout Sonoma County. My practice includes acupuncture, natural herbs, essential oils, facial rejuvenation, nutrition, and medical qigong.
I earned my Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medical College—Berkeley. As an intern in the clinic, and subsequently as a practitioner, I have worked in a wide variety of areas, including pain management, respiratory illness, trauma and depression, gastro-intestinal disorders, nutrition, and women’s health. The addition of qigong to my treatments has made a big difference to many people.
Located in the Heart of Santa Rosa
My office is centrally located in the heart of Santa Rosa on Fourth Street. In addition to my private practice, I have worked at the Rohnert Park Jewish Community Free Clinic and the Acupuncture and Integrative Medical College in Berkeley.
Combining Ancient Practices with Modern Science
I chose my particular Chinese medical school intentionally, because the training included hundreds of hours of Western medical classes. I can therefore talk with my patients in the Western terminology that we are all familiar with, and then I can apply the traditional Chinese medicine to help them. My training has created an effective bridge between modern science and the wisdom and brilliance of ancient practices. This blended approach ensures that my patients receive the benefits of both worlds—Eastern and Western. When needed, I can readily make referrals to doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and psychologists.
Speaker on Chinese Medicine
I am a frequent speaker about this, my favorite topic, because I am convinced that the more people learn of the effectiveness of Chinese Medicine, the more they will try it and benefit from it. I would be delighted to address your group to speak on Chinese Medicine in general or on a specific topic of your choice, like pain management, menopausal issues, back pain, etc.
Your highest compliment is the referral of your family and friends.
My business is generated mainly by word-of-mouth. If you have a loved one or friend who is struggling with their health, I would be honored to speak with them to see if my services might help. I am also connected to other acupuncturists and health professionals, and I would not hesitate to try to help you find the best fit.
Please post a review here to help me grow my practice and teach more people about acupuncture!
Thank you so much, and I look forward to working with you!
